ANZMAC Special Interest Sessions provide an opportunity for focused discussions on new, innovative and emerging topics within marketing. Special Interest Sessions may consist of panel discussions, themed papers, tutorials/demonstrations, workshops and roundtables. Organisers of Special Interest Sessions are to submit a proposal for acceptance by the Proceedings Committee. Organisers are strongly cautioned not to submit for Special Interest Session proposals that would be more appropriately be regular papers, nor should organisers look at the Special Interest Sessions option as a way to circumvent deadlines and policies that apply to regular paper submissions.

The acceptance of Special Interest Session proposals will be based on:

  • relevance to the conference theme;
  • special interest of topics to participants;
  • expertise of organisers and participants;
  • extent of contemporary issues raised.

Special Interest Session proposals should not be longer than three (3) pages and include:

  • title of the proposed session,
  • format and detailed description of the proposed sessions: panel discussion, demonstration, workshop, etc. Please limit to 500 words maximum.
  • name and background of organiser,
  • name and background of other participants if applicable,
  • target audience,
  • audio-visual equipment request,
  • if panel session with themed papers – names and contact information of three (3) reviewers.

Proposals should be emailed to the Proceedings Committee: anzmac2006.proceedings@qut.edu.au by Friday 28 July 2006.
