Room blocks have been reserved at five (5) hotels in Brisbane for ANZMAC 2006 at special conference rates. These rates are only available by booking through the Conference Secretariat when completing Full Registration for the Conference. Registration to both the Conference and Doctoral Colloquium are online using our secure system or download the registration form (in pdf format) and send via facsimile to: +61 7 3138 5160.

Room numbers are limited. Extra nights and week long stays are available on request and dependent on availability. Most of the hotels are within easy walking distance to QUT. Check the map below to find the most suitable hotel location for your requirements.

Please read the following information carefully.

• Special conference rates are available to all conference delegates only by booking through the Conference Secretariat
• Early reservations are encouraged. Reservations received after 29 September 2006 are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• The special conference accommodation rate is available for extended stays, subject to availability, and bookings must be made through the Conference Secretariat.
• Rooms are not guaranteed for check in before 1300 hours. To ensure your immediate occupation of your room on arrival if prior to 1300 hours, you may pre-register your room (book and pay for the night before). Please indicate on your registration form if you would like to pre-register your room.
• Accommodation cancellations in whole or in part or no shows, giving less than 14 – 30 days notice, may incur a penalty at the accommodation venue's discretion. Please check the cancellation policy of respective hotel where your reservation is held.
• All accommodation rates include 10% GST. A tax invoice for accommodation will be issued by the hotel upon checkout.
• Please note: You will need to supply credit card number details when registering that will be forwarded to the hotel as security for your reservation. The hotel may wish to charge a deposit to this card. You will be required to settle your account directly with the hotel upon departure. Delegates wishing to arrange their own accommodation may do so, but will not be entitled to the special conference rates.
• All hotel rates quoted are in Australian Dollars. Hotels are listed in alphabetical order.

Chifley at Lennons

66 Queen Street Mall, City

The Chifley at Lennons is located on Queen Street in the heart of Brisbane and superbly placed for that shopping experience.

This fully refurbished 4-star hotel contains accommodation with a heritage decor and guarantees real Australian hospitality. The Chifley on George is adjacent to the Treasury Casino and is only a ten minute walk to the conference venue, or Queen Street Mall shopping precinct (in the opposite direction). Saville Southbank is Brisbane's newest 4 ½-star apartment hotel, opened in January 2006.
