The weather in Brisbane is comfortable and sub-tropical. The city of Brisbane enjoys a very enviable climate of brilliant hot summers and clear mild winters.

Whilst summer maximum average temperatures generally linger around 30°C, the summer months have some extremely hot days.January to March are usually the months of highest rainfall - usually fantastic hot days followed by occasional tropical storms – but thunderstorms and high temperatures were experienced in Brisbane during ANZMAC 2005.  Humidity can sometimes be high but is often tempered by the cool sea breezes. The cool rainforests and mountain creeks are a wonderful retreat from the hot summer days.

SunscreenPeople need to take care by wearing hats, cool clothing that protects from the sun and using sunscreen, especially those with fair skin. Make sure you drink lots of water to avoid dehydration. These common sense practices are essential to enjoying Brisbane summers.
